Blackbird and the Snow

BLACKBIRD AND THE SNOW fine jewelry is an ode to the natural world; the pieces express a connection to the wilderness and a desire to immortalize elements -birds, insects, wings, stars, moons - that serve as the living, elemental poetry of our world.

Marie-Juliette Bird began creating jewelry in London, while recording an album for her birdsong project, BLACKBIRD AND THE STORM. While in the UK, she apprenticed under master jeweler David Courts, creator of the original Keith Richards skull ring. Courts remains a close friend and mentor.

Each Blackbird and the Snow piece begins with the creation of a hand carved charm, using artisanal techniques that date back to the pre-industrial era. Fine milgrain work and unique stone cuts maintain the singular delicacy of the line.

The Blackbird collection was represented by iconic NYC showroom Fragments and has been featured on the cover of Vogue as well as Elle, Vogue Italia and W, among other luxury publications, internationally.
Each piece is custom created and hand crafted.
